First of all, I hope you are all enjoying this holiday season and finding joy in spite of life's challenges!
Secondly, I am thrilled beyond words (and I am pretty good with words) to announce the official release of my first volume of THE HORSTBERG SAGA, which has been published under my new pseudonym ELIZABETH D. MICHAELS. This is a story I have been working on between other projects for about thirty years. It is very dear to my heart, and I am so excited to be able to finally share it with the world. The timing of it coming out for Christmas is an added bonus. I know it's likely too late for gift giving, but after all the Christmas craziness you can reward yourself with a good book. I have been reassured by many who have read the manuscript that is IS a good book. I hope you'll agree.
The book is VERY long, like three books in one, but I didn't feel like it could be divided. This makes the print price 26.55, but the kindle version is currently only 7.99. There is also a sample of the first few chapters if you know someone who might want to try it out!

My deepest hope in regard to this story is that it will go out into the world and compete with all the icky stuff that's out there. I must also admit that I am hoping this will provide much-needed income for my family since I am still struggling with my health (although I have a great doctor and finally have some answers, so with time I should start getting better) and I am still very burned out creatively. But since I've had five volumes of this series written for a long time, there is more to come.
Volume two, A MATTER OF HONOR will be available in the spring, and there is more to come just as quickly as we can get them out.

Why the pseudonym?
Pseudonyms are commonly used among authors to distinguish between different categories of writing, or different genres. Even though I already have books in print that have no LDS content, from now on I will do all books that are not for an LDS audience under this name.
No, it will not be available through Deseret Book, or any other retail outlet. You can order the print copy or the Kindle e-book through amazon, and it will soon be available for Nook, through Barnes and Noble.

I ordered the print copy, and then I was able to order the Kindle for $2.99, which I of course ordered.
I told my hubby that it could be part of my Christmas since he didn't have time to get me much. Even though one of my gifts was "The Garden Path" print edition, to go with my Kindle edition of it.
Can hardly wait to dive into it, after I finish my current book I am reading from the library. I will also have to save up my pennies for the next volumes as well.
I hope it become a book on CD soon, as I only read audiobooks these days.
