I want you to know that when people as...Anita,
I want you to know that when people ask me what my favorite book is, I tell them I have many, but they are all by the same author. I give them your name and your pen name. I tell them about all the many adventures I've been on in reading your books. I own every single thing you've ever put out. But, when your Horstberg books came out, it changed me. I was so excited that you were able to get that series done and have the crowning achievement thus far in your career grace us. I immediately bought them and I couldn't put them down. I didn't feel as if I was reading a book. I felt like I was reading about someone dear to me. Maybe an ancestor or something. I can't tell you the gambit of emotions that ran through me as I read those books. Thank you so much for putting them out there for us. I love everything you've written, but there is a very special place in my heart for the historical pieces you've done, and most especially for Horstberg. It helped me at a time that was hard for me, so again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope that you are doing well, and continue to write when you can. I always look for the next book with great anticipation. :)
Priscilla Hemby whenDisneymeetsAnimehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13422642640064013475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7987733792320855434.post-87791731529534428732016-06-23T09:40:03.676-06:002016-06-23T09:40:03.676-06:00I loved the Horstberg series! Once I recover from the tears I shed the first time I read it. :)Baby Sisterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01722443238803217681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7987733792320855434.post-30758500946145853032016-06-20T18:05:10.894-06:002016-06-20T18:05:10.894-06:00I LOVED the people in the Hortsberg Saga. I loved ...I LOVED the people in the Hortsberg Saga. I loved Abbi - I loved her when she was young and wild and riding, and I loved her as she aged so gracefully, so full of wisdom. I loved her children, watching them grow, dreading their suffering, weeping when their children were born. I loved Maggie. I loved her so dearly.

These are the kind of novels in the Hortsberg Saga - novels where I became so attached to the characters that I hated for the novel to end, but was so glad when characters would reappear, to greater or lesser degrees, in the next novel. I love how the novels would go through the generations of this magnificent family. I just . . . I'm not doing them justice . . . I just miss them, Anita.

I'm reading Captive Hearts right now, and I'm loving it, too. Am I crazy that I feel just a little of Abbie in Kyrah - and I love that. I love it so much to feel just a hint of the strong woman - well - even if she didn't start out that way.

Thank you for these characters, these friends, these people who I enjoy spending time with. They are my solace. When life is hard, as it so often is, when I can read no more news of terrorist attacks and shootings and politics, I turn to your books knowing my friends will be there - to comfort me. I can never repay you for this gift you have given me - and the world.

I love you . . . and I thank you.

AmandaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05267152411415125219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7987733792320855434.post-53506259290317950722016-06-16T15:15:52.121-06:002016-06-16T15:15:52.121-06:00I. She's amazing!

Depression is something I can completely relate to. Sometimes getting from one thought to another is like trudging through a bog. Knowing that, I'll totally cheer and squee for your writing your blog post! Yay!! I know the amount of effort it takes to do even the smallest things when the black fog has you in its grip.

The Horstbergs were the first books of yours that I read. :) I have very fond memories of those characters. You are so very talented and I am grateful that you continue to share yourself, your feelings, and your thoughts with us.

I love you. I too love Ho...Thank you for sharing your feelings. I too love Horst berg. I remember years ago seeing Horstberg on the list of books to come. I loved the plot line. I remember checking back from time to time to see if it was coming. Oh, the excitement when I finally found out it was here. I bought the kindle version and started reading it as soon as it was available. I remember sitting for hours not doing anything else. Thank you for sharing your talent. I hadn't realized it wasn't as well known. I will go back and add reviews on Amazon, as well as goodreads. Wish there was more I could do to get the word out. I know other people would love it.Readbookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10864983639099175162noreply@blogger.com
